The Wiley X story:

The U.S. Military Special Forces and Law Enforcement agencies needed the ultimate, shatterproof eye gear. And so, 20 years ago, Wiley X was born.

We began by creating shatterproof, selenite, polycarbonate lenses. In fact, some models have been tested to withstand a 12-gauge shotgun blast from 10 yards away. Nationally, we’re currently a standard issue item with the FBI, DEA, Army Rangers, Navy SEAL Teams and Military Special Forces.

		LA LIGHT ADJUSTING GREY LENSES Darken as the brightness of the sun dictates. Darkest on bright days, clear on overcast days. Maximize optical clarity. Shatterproof. Light transmission: 85% to 17% (in sunlight).

		SMOKE (GREY) LENSES* Maximum glare reduction. Won't distort colors. Excellent in bright/glare conditions. Light transmission: 20%, 13% Polarized.

		CLEAR LENSES Maximum light transmission. See precise color values. Hazy or overcast, dusk/dawn conditions. Light transmission: 89%.

		LIGHT RUST LENSES Filters out blue light waves, the chief component of glare and haze. Enhance contrast in medium to low-light conditions. Light transmission: 53%.

		SMOKE GREEN LENSES* Maximum glare reduction without distorting colors. Great for general daytime use. Light transmission: 21%, 19% Polarized.

		PALE YELLOW LENSES Best light enhancing lens tint. Filter out blue light waves and the preferred lens on overcast or low light days. Light transmission: 86%.

		PALE ROSE LENSES Improve details and enhance depth perception when encountering low or artifi cial light conditions. Light transmission: 51%

		LA LIGHT ADJUSTING BRONZE BROWN LENSES Darken as the brightness of the sun dictates. Darkest on bright days, clear on overcast days. Maximize optical clarity. Shatterproof. Light transmission: 82% to 21% (in sunlight).

		BRONZE BROWN LENSES* For superior visual defi nition. Increase contrast, enhance ground level contours in most light conditions. Light transmission: 20%, 19% Bronze Flash, 19% Bronze Brown Flash, 19% Polarized Bronze Brown.

		CORAL PINK LENSES Improve details and enhance depth perception when encountering low or artifi cial light conditions. Light transmission: 19%.

		BLUE MIRROR LENSES* Multi-coat, over smoke lenses. Absorb refl ections across mirror surface, diminish glare. Ideal in bright conditions. Light transmission: 19% Polarized.

		SILVER FLASH LENSES* Multi-coat, Z-Oxide mirror over smoke lens. Reduces glare. Excellent on bright days. Light transmission: 7%, 10% Polarized.

		EMERALD MIRROR/AMBER TINT LENSES* An amber tinted lens under an emerald green multi-coat mirror surface that's specially designed to amplify color contrast and deliver high visual defi nition. Distinct colors and crisp acuity in all light conditions for superior vision performance. Light transmission: 13% Polarized.
